Burnout is a state where the individual is totally drained of energy, prolonged worned out depending on chronic stress.
Burnout affects the individual physically as well as emotionally and intellectually. This results in various symptoms as tiredness which cannot be rested away, sleeping disturbances and memory problems are central. Most of those affected have sleeping problems which results in difficulties to recover during sleep.
Often brnout is preceeded of physical symptoms such as pain, irregular hearbeat, indigestion and dizziness. Concentration and short time memory are reduced. Emotional lability and irritatedness is part of the picture too.
